Throughout my life, I have grown in my love for God. However, there have been moments when I chose to ignore Him and live a selfish existence. This reflection is shared with the hope that it can inspire others to find and maintain the love of God in their lives.

Years ago, I underwent a life-threatening surgery, and despite the medical efforts, I died in the hospital. My heart had suffered from years of hardship, and when the doctors attempted to remove the Swan device from my neck, I sadly passed away. Strangely, they brought me back to life through medical intervention. I was placed in a medically induced coma for the next month, while they tried to heal my body.
Years later, as I prayed daily at Mass, seeking to get to know God and offering myself in a clumsy fashion, I was informed that I could stop using the oxygen 24/7. This came as a result of some individuals praying for a miracle to get the Georgia martyrs canonized as saints. Little did I know that these prayers were also working for me. It dawned on me that I should have been in hell for all eternity but it was only God's unwavering mercy that granted me a second, and perhaps a fifth, chance at life.
I became exceedingly grateful for this second chance and vowed to dedicate the rest of my life to God, regardless of the challenges He might set for me. This experience profoundly changed my perception and deepened my love for God.
Another Personal Story of Divine Love
My dear friend, when I was raised in a Christian family, I always loved God. I can't recall a time when I didn't recognize His presence. One of the earliest memories I have is getting baptized at the age of 8 or 9. I remember being baptized in a white robe and reciting the words for God, Jesus, and the Holy Ghost three times. This event took place at the church that my family had always visited.
In times of despair, such as when I was about to commit suicide, I felt God's presence. He appeared in the form of darkness, covering the sky before me and creating a miraculous transformation. He is always there, answering and speaking to us because He is within us, guiding and communicating through our inner voice.
My personal journey has also included times of immense loss. I lost the one I ever loved, my reputation, my money, and social status. These losses led me to lose myself.
